The first released and debut book of author Miss Sally Thorne came out around August 2016 and I could practically hear the internet buzzing excitement of fellow readers itching to get a copy of this book. I managed to read this before the end of that year and finally I know EXACTLY why everyone was so crazy about this two pair! This was such a fun, cute and terribly adorable couple that had the love-hate banter inside the office that soon sizzled into a delicious tug-and-bite romance!

The chemistry was off-the-charts, mind you!

Lucinda Hutton aka Strawberry Shortcake is someone who most women can generally relate to, not to mention her quirky and hilarious way of dissecting scenarios and situations in her head. She's a nice girl who's having a hard time saying NO to people and usually people working with her try to take advantage of her good nature, except Joshua. She's never like to say bad things about other people and tends to see the good in them, which infuriates Joshua but can't help liking Lucinda in the process due to her kind heart. *swoons*

Also, Lucinda would be the only internal monologue (POV) we will get to glimpse throughout the book but the author makes the subtle inclination of Joshua's somewhat detailed emotions, expressions and gestures through whichever and how Lucy perceives them. The story starts with Lucy's very keen observance with Joshua's outfits everyday, the little things he writes on his paper and the habits she has picked up from watching this man since day one.

Man, if I were working with someone as confident and hot as Joshua Templeman within close proximity- SIGN ME UP!

What can we say about Joshua Templeman? Subtle alpha-man, sexy neanderthal but in his own way and the way he gets affected with Lucy... GOOD GOSH, this man! He's so sexy and I'd really want a Joshua Templeman clone, please for the love of carrots!

Overall, this was super funny, witty and all the right feels for a good morning, mid-afternoon, afternoon tea, dinner and midnight read- any time of the day is quite suitable for THE HATING GAME! This was my best reads for 2016!

P.S. Miss Sally Thorne, you can count on it that I'll be waiting and anticipate eagerly for 99 Percent Mine book out on 2019!
